Netflix have released the first full trailer for The Punisher, the much anticipated sixth series in Marvel’s darker, New York set corner of their cinematic/television universe, starring Jon Bernthal as former CIA operative turned vengeful vigilante Frank Castle.

Here’s the official synopsis:
After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
Bernthal first appeared as Castle in the second season of Daredevil, where he struck up a rapport with Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, who appears as a regular as he gets his own full series. Other cast members include Ben Barnes, Ebon-Moss Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah and Paul Schulze.
The Punisher is expected to release worldwide on Netflix this Autumn, though no official airdate has yet been confirmed.
