Amazon have dropped a cryptic teaser for their upcoming Jack Ryan TV series, set to premiere on the streaming service in 2018, starring The Office‘s John Krasinski as the eponymous hero of many Tom Clancy political espionage novels.

Here’s the official synopsis of the series:
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan follows an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows Ryan (Krasinski) as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
Jack Ryan has been played numerous times on the big screen, first by Harrison Ford in 1992’s Patriot Games and then 1994’s Clear and Present Danger. Ben Affleck stepped into the role for 2003’s The Sum of All Fears, before Chris Pine had another try with the ill-fated Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit in 2014. This will be the character’s first adaptation on the small screen.
