A brand new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie has been released along with a poster boasting the central characters.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, mastermind a different version of the Spider-Man Universe to what we’ve seen previously on the big screen – not least of all because it is entirely animated.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey direct, along with Rodney Rothman.
The trailer shows a variety of differently costumed Spider-Men (Spider-people? Spider…pigs?) duelling with familiar rogues such as Scorpion, Doctor Octopus, Kingpin and others.

It has been a strong start to the week for the web-slinging New Yorker after the Marvel’s PS4 exclusive title Spider-Man became the second fastest selling game of the year.
Also perking up Spidey’s week will hopefully be spin-off film Venom, starring Tom Hardy in the title role as Eddie Brock, which arrives in UK cinemas tomorrow.
However, fans of the main superhero will have to wait a little longer to catch him on the big screen as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been slated for release on 12 December.
